Exploring Azure
On August 14, 2019, the Tech on the Tyne meetup group held their first session in Newcastle, and it was a massive success. As the first meetup, there was added pressure to ensure that it was good enough to encourage attendees to keep coming to future meetups. Fortunately, the meetup was well-attended and received positive feedback from the participants.
The meetup was tagged with Azure and DevOps, making it a great resource for anyone interested in these topics. It was an excellent opportunity for people to learn about Azure DevOps and how to use it efficiently. The participants also had the chance to ask questions and share their experiences with Azure DevOps.
During the session, I covered Azure DevOps and the various things that can be done with it. I talked about setting up repositories, adding CI/CD behavior, and other interesting features. The presentation for the meetup can be found at the following link: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1ifl-jQEKr_lIZNyNuP6LuwxK51TaGR0aLmAr8HaTz70/edit?usp=sharing
Attendees were able to learn about the benefits of using Azure DevOps for their team's software development lifecycle. We discussed how to use features like Boards, Repos, Pipelines, and Test Plans to streamline development processes and improve collaboration. Through the presentation, attendees learned how to set up a new project in Azure DevOps and got an overview of the various features.
The meetup was an excellent opportunity to network with other professionals interested in Azure DevOps. Attendees shared their experiences using Azure DevOps and discussed how they solved common challenges. The event was a great opportunity for individuals to learn from each other and expand their knowledge of Azure DevOps.
